Our 2010 Hikes

Hiked the Dancing Gypsy Loop at Robert Wehle State Park & explored Selkirk Shores State Park.

Explored Ganondagan State Historic Site including Fort Hill.

Explored Beechwood State Park.  This park was the former Beechwood Girls Scout Camp.

Explored Wellesley Island, Westcott Beach and Robert G. Wehle state parks.

Explored Whetstone Gulf State Park.

Explored Stony Brook State Park.  We also scouted Keuka Lake State Park. 

Explored Clark Reservation State Park.

Explored Buttermilk Falls and Fillmore Glen state parks.

Explored Chittenango Falls and Verona Beach state parks.

Explored Taughannock Falls and Robert Treman state parks.

Explored Clark Reservation State Park.

Explored Chittenango Falls and Gilbert Lake state parks.

Explored Powley-Piseco Road and then Cisco Creek Trail to Kunjamuk River before my car broke down.

Hiked to Upper Mitchell Pond, Beaver Lake and Lost Ponds in Moose River Plains Wild Forest.

Explored Niagara Falls State Park.

A tour of the Adirondacks from Old Forge to Long Lake to Tupper Lake on to the High Peaks.

New section of the Great Eastern Trail in Addison.

New section of the Finger Lakes Trail near Bainbridge and explored Chenango Valley State Park.

Visited Finger Lakes National Forest and hiked the Southslope, Gorge and Ravine Trails.

Nine Corner Lake, Broomstick Lake, Good Luck Lake plus some hikes in Moose River Plains.

Did a couple of bike rides in the Rome area while exploring possible future North Country Trail sections.

Ledge Mt Overlook, Echo Cliffs, Auger Falls Loop and a section of the Northville-Placid Trail.

Did a bike ride along the Old Erie Canal Trail between Kirkville and Chittenango.

Visited and explored Sonnenberg Gardens State Historic Site.

Explored Independence River Wild Forest with hikes to Panther Pond, Sunday Lake and along Sunday Creek.

Explored Oriskany Battlefield & Steuben Memorial State Historic Sites.

Finished the Cush Hill hike at the Rogers Center.  Explored Riddell State Park & part of McNitt State Park.

Did three hikes at the Rogers Environmental Education Center located on NY 80 west of Sherburne.

A hike to Chippewa Falls in Cuyler Hill State Forest.

Hiked a short section of the North Country Trail from Booneville Covered Bridge to Big Moose Road.

We did three hikes and checked out ten state forests plus Hunts Pond State Park.

Fellows Hill Loop in Morgan Hill State Forest and a section of the FLT/NCT in Cuyler Hill State Forest.

Swedish Loop Trail in Kennedy State Forest.  We did the 5.2 mile loop from Daisy Hollow Rd.

Black Pond Wildlife Management Area located north of Southwick Beach State Park in Jefferson County.

The Finger Lakes Trail to the "Waterfalls of Pharsalia" in Pharsalia WMA.

Birdseye Hollow Loop, Irene's Campsite along FLT/NCT, BHT DeWolfe section & Harriet Spencer Rec Area

Explored Rose Hollow in Cuyler Hill State Forest and a section of the FLT in Mariposa State Forest.

Explored Irish Hollow in Maxon Creek State Forest via the North Country Trail from Midlum Hill.

The Dabes Diversion Loop with side trip to Foxfire Lean To in Kennedy State Forest near Virgil, NY.

We hiked the Wiltsey Glen Loop in Cuyler Hill State Forest located near Cuyler, NY.

Exploring Midlum Hill along the North Country Trail near Cuyler, NY.

Stevenson Forest Preserve located just outside of Ithaca.

FLT/NCT from Tower Road on Connecticut Hill to power line view just south of Griffin Road

Robert Treman State Park - Using the High Water Bypass to create a loop plus the Lucifer Falls Overlook.

FLT/NCT in Excelsior Glen and in Sugar Hill State Forest past Buck Settlement Lean To.

Robinson Loop Trails near Swain.  We did the six mile "Outer Loop" hike.

A hike to the new Bear Lake Lean To in Black River Wild Forest in the Adirondacks.

NCT from E Lake Road to Tromp Road featuring DeRuyter State Forest and views of DeRuyter Lake.

FLT in the Catskills.  Campbell Mtn Lean To, Split Rock Lookout, Mary Smith Hill, Big Pond & Alder Lake.

Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania or should we say Rocksylvania and Bake Oven Knob.

Finger Lakes Trail in Pharsalia WMA from Lower Pond to Johnson Street & back.

FLT/NCT in Watkins Glen State Park from Whites Hollow Rd to Suspension Bridge overlooking gorge.

FLT/NCT from NY 54 to Winding Stairs Road near Bath, plus the June Bug Trail.

Perkins Lean To in Pharsalia WMA and the Kopac Loop in Bowman Lake State Park.

Great Eastern Trail in Pinnacle State Park and McCarthy Hill State Forest.

Great Eastern Trail in Meads Creek & South Bradford State Forests plus spur trail.

FLT/NCT from Hoxie Gorge Rd to Underwood Hill Rd and more including looping back to the Hunting Bypass.

Texas Hollow Loop in Texas Hollow State Forest.

FLT/NCT in Danby State Forest from Comfort Road to Chestnut Lean To and back (from Bald Hill Rd).

Irvin Loop.  Two mile loop utilizing the Spanish Loop Trail and Irvin Trail with side trip to Cristina Creek Falls.

NCT/FLT from Rowland Creek to Rowland Ridge, then the panoramic view past Bud Brook and back.

Finger Lakes Trail in Bucks Brook State Forest.  Ridge Road to ruins, walls and creek side campsite.

Finger Lakes Trail in Mariposa State Forest.  Lincklaen Rd aka County Route 53 to Paradise Garden Lean To.
