Clements Pond is located in the Wilmington Wild Forest of the northeastern Adirondacks, near Upper Jay. This 1.5 mile one way hike features a scenic little pond. This is a hike does have an elevation gain of over 500 feet. The trail to the pond was constructed in 2012 and is marked with blue DEC markers. This hike is for those looking to get away from the overly crowded High Peaks Region and have some solitude in the woods.

You'll find this hike in the latest ADK Guide Book High Peaks Trails. The start of the trail is mostly flat as you cross two small streams during the first 0.2 miles of hiking. The trail now climbs moderately to reach the height of land at 1.0 miles. The trail drops using switchbacks to reach the southern part of the pond at 1.4 miles. The trail now follows a ridge on the eastern side of the pond with a beaver area on your right. The trail ends at a grassy area on the northern part of the pond. Look below for pictures and a map of this hike.

Directions: The parking area is one mile east of the junction of NY 9N along Styles Brook Road. The trailhead parking area is on the right. There is a DEC sign at the parking area. The GPS coordinates of the parking area is N44 18.010 W73 46.033.
