The start of the trail to Kibby Pond can be found along NY 8 in the Central Adirondacks. The 1.9 mile trail to the scenic pond is very popular, although there is a nearly 600 foot elevation gain.  The elevation gain isn't as bad as it may sound and can be enjoyed by most members of your family.

The trailhead is found along NY 8, with a small parking area for about three vehicles.  There is a small, hard to see sign marking the pull off from NY 8. The GPS coordinates are N43 34.735 W74 06.198 for the very small parking area. There are at least two, maybe three primitive campsites at the pond.  Look below for a map of this hike courtesy of AndyArthur.org
