Located on the southern end of Grand Island along the Niagara River, the 950 acre Beaver Island State Park is a popular picnicking spot with numerous trails for biking and hiking. This state park does charge an entrance fee seasonally with a cost of $6 ($7 when the beach is open). A popular golf course is located in the park as well as a disc golf course.
The Conservation Trail skirts the entrance of Beaver Island State Park as it follows the bike trail around the traffic circle at the park entrance and then follows West River Parkway as it continues its journey toward the Rainbow Bridge at Niagara Falls.
