New York State Parks Burnham Point
|
The original 4+ acres of land was purchased by the state from Willard and Nellie Burnham for $400 in 1898 to create Burnham Point State Park. The CCC worked on projects in the park during the 1930's.
There are no formal hiking trails in the park, however it is a small, quiet park that can be enjoyed. Picnicking, camping, fishing and boating are very popular at the park. The park is located off NY 12E, about five miles east of Cape Vincent.
