Jacques Cartier State Park is located on the St Lawrence River in the 1000 Island Region and features a couple of short hiking trails.  One of the short trails leads to a very small waterfall.  The park has a picnic area as well as a beach area for swimming.  There are 89 campsites, with numerous waterfront sites.  This is a great park for those who want to relax and watch the river.

Jacques Cartier State Park is located off of NY 12, west of Morristown and the NY 37 junction.  The city of Brockville, Ontario, Canada can be seen across the St Lawrence River from the park.

Find more information on this state park from the NY State Parks website.  There are pictures below from this beautiful state park.
