A 5.8 mile loop featuring a hike on Randall Hill in Cuyler Hill State Forest. There are no "views" on this hike that has you walking along 3.1 miles of forest dirt roads and 2.7 miles of the Finger Lakes Trail/North Country Trail. There is an elevation gain of 600 feet and you will cross the highest point in Cuyler Hill State Forest at 2080 feet. It is a great loop hike for those that are looking for some solitude.

Directions:  From Truxton, NY take NY 13 North and turn right just past the "Cuyler" sign, then another right onto Linklaen Rd. Turn right on Cuyler Hill Rd and then left on Stoney Brook Rd (Seasonal Dirt Road). In about a mile you will see where the Finger Lakes Trail/North Country Trail crosses the road (look for the white blazes). Park on the shoulder here. This is the trailhead. The GPS coordinates are N42 42.462 W75 54.657 if you have a GPS devise.

Continue down the dirt Stoney Brook Rd.

Turn right on the season dirt Cortland Six Rd (no signs).

2.5 1864 ft

Turn right on the seasonal dirt Randall Hill Rd (no signs).

3.1 1781 ft

Turn right on the Finger Lakes/North Country Trail (white blazes).  Begin to ascend.

3.4 1942 ft

Orange blazed trail on left leads 0.2 mile to Rose Hollow. Continue on FLT/NCT.

4.9 2080 ft

High point along trail in Cuyler Hill State Forest (Randall Hill).  Begin descending.

5.6 1850 ft

Bench on right.

5.8 1891 ft

Arrive at Stoney Brook Rd and the end of this loop hike.
