Hiking in Schoharie County Burnt-Rossman Hills State Forest
|
The 10,588 acre Burnt-Rossman Hills State Forest is located in Schoharie County, about 2.5 hours from the Syracuse area. This is a very popular state forest for hiking, camping and other outdoor activities. A section of the aqua blazed, 350+ mile Long Path travels through the state forest. Along the Long Path is the Eminence Lean To, located about 0.5 miles east of Old Cemetery Road. The Long Path crosses Old Cemetery Road just south of an old cemetery.
