Here’s a pleasant country hike to get you away from urban chaos. The Cayuga County Trail aka Cato-Fair Haven Trail, is mainly a raised bed through woods, swamps, and tree farms. It’s an easy hike or bike, shaded by a canopy of trees. The trail starts in Fair Haven, home of the 865 acre Fair Haven Beach State Park, which has cabins and camping.  The trails southern terminus is in Cato at NY 370.  The trail is about 14 miles one way.
