Camping in Adirondack Park Central Adirondacks Golden Beach
|
Golden Beach State Campground is located on the eastern shores of scenic Raquette Lake, just southwest of Blue Mountain Lake in the Central Adirondacks. It has a large sandy beach, which makes this campground extremely popular with families. Boating on the large lake is also very popular. There are many hiking trails available close by in Blue Ridge Wilderness, Pigeon Lake Wilderness, Sargent Ponds Wild Forest and Moose River Plains Wild Forest.
There are a total of 205 campsites available, including some located off the main campground on the Raquette Lake along NY 28. There is also a picnic area in the day use area of the campground. DEC campgrounds accept the Empire Passport for those who want to enter to use the day use facilities. It's not just for state parks! To get more info on this campground including reservations see the NY DEC Website.
