The 163 acre Gosnell Big Woods Preserve is located Webster, NY. The area is owned by the Genesee Land Trust. The Friends of Webster Trails maintain the approximate three miles of hiking trails. There are three destinct areas of the Preserve: 69 acres of Big Woods, 58 acres of Big Field and 35 acres of small woods & meadow. Experts estimate that some of the old growth trees in the Big Woods are over 350 years old.

There is a large parking lot, which is located on the corner of Vosburg and Drumm Roads. The Big Field Trail is the longest of the trails at 1.2 miles. The trail goes around the perimeter of the field. The Big Woods Trail is located about 0.2 miles from the parking lot and features the old growth forest. The Meadow Trail features woods and a meadow along its 0.5 mile loop. All the travels are fairly level and are easy hikes to enjoy by all in the family.
