New York State Parks Golden Hill
|
Golden Hill State Park was acquired by New York State in 1962. The Thirty Mile Lighthouse, decommissioned by the U.S. Coast Guard in 1958, is part of the park and is available for touring as well as rental year-round. The lighthouse has a rich history which can be enjoyed by visitors of the park. The views are spectacular from the top of the lighthouse.
Camping season runs from early April to early October. There are 50 campsites with excellent views of Lake Ontario and the lighthouse. There are 5.5 miles of mowed trails throughout the park and hiking is permitted all year. There are pictures of the park and a map below to help plan your adventure at Golden Hill State Park.
Directions: From Rochester area, NY 18 to (right) County Route 50, left on Lower Lake Road to the park entrance.
