Higley Flow State Park is located along the scenic Raquette River just outside of Adirondack Park.  You'll find spacious campsites, a sandy beach and nearly eight miles of hiking trails at the park. The Beaver Pond Nature Trail has interpretive signs that describe the different habitats the trail passes through. 

 

You'll find more info at the New York State Parks website as well as a great hiking map.  You can create a great loop hike from the trails in the park.

 

Higley Flow State Park is approximately 2 hours 45 minutes from the Syracuse area, located south of Potsdam off NY 56.  From Canton take US 11 to NY 68 to NY 56 and follow signs to park.  Use the map below.
