New York State Parks Peebles Island
|
Peebles Island State Park is located where the Mohawk River meets the Hudson River. The park hiking trails offer spectacular river and rapids views for walkers and joggers who take advantage of the miles of paths through the gently rolling and wooded landscape around the island. The most popular trail is the Perimeter Trail, which takes you around the island creating a pleasant loop hike of nearly two miles.
The trails are not marked in the park, however the trails are pretty simple to follow and it's hard to get real lost on an island. You can find more info on Peebles Island State Park from the NY State Parks website. Look below for a few pictures and two trail maps of Peebles Island State Park.
