Pine Lake is a popular destination for kayakers and fisherman located in the Shaker Mountain Wild Forest of the southwestern Adirondacks. An unmarked trail meanders for about a mile along the shore to a vly from the parking area for those who want to explore this area by foot. This place does not receive the foot traffic compared to other lakes and ponds in this area, however it is worth checking out.

Directions: From Caroga Lake Campground take NY 29A north for 6.4 miles. Turn right on Pine Lake Road and drive 0.7 miles to the end of the road. There is a parking area at the end of the road. The GPS coordinates are N43 11.883 W74 30.914 for the parking area for those who have a GPS devise in their vehicle.
