This 1.6 mile round trip hike along the Appalachian Trail is fairly easy and leads to superb views.  Park at Beahms Gap Overlook located at milepost 28.5 of Skyline Drive.  There are other hiking options from this overlook, including a hike up to Byrds Nest Shelter #4 and the short Beahms Gap Loop.
