Camping in Adirondack Park Southeastern Adirondacks Scaroon Manor
|

Scaroon Manor Campground is located off US 9 on Schroon Lake, just north of Eagle Point Campground. This newer campground is for those looking to get away from the crowds of the Lake George area and enjoy open sites compared to secluded woods sites. You'll find hiking trails at nearby Pharaoh Lake Wilderness, Lake George Wild Forest and Vanderwhacker Mountain Wild Forest. There are 60 campsites available and a nice swimming beach. There is a picnic area as well for day use visitors.
This campground has been designed to provide accessibility to people of all abilities. The universal design of this facility enables everyone, including seniors and families with small children to access all amenities. All campsites, showers and restrooms are accessible. Campsites have accessibly designed ring fireplaces and picnic tables and smooth, hardened surfaces to make it easier for those with wheelchairs or walking aids. This campground opened in 2011.
We suggest hiking Moxham Mountain, located to the west of the campground near Minerva off NY 28N. You will enjoy the many spectacular views of this unknown gem. DEC campgrounds accept the Empire Passport for those who want to enter to use the day use facilities. It's not just for state parks! To get more info on this campground including reservations see the NY DEC Website.
