This hike utilizes 1.1 miles of the Finger Lakes/North Country Trail and 1.1 miles of roads to create a short but scenic 2.2 mile loop
Directions: From Ithaca, NY 79 EAST to Caroline. Take a right on Level Green Rd, right on Yaple Road, right on Old 76 Road. In Caroline Center, turn left on South Road. Then a right on Gulf Creek Rd. Follow Gulf Creek Rd down the hill and turn left (straight) on Shindagin Hollow Rd. Park your car here (on the side of the road).
Mile Elevation Description 0.0 1213 ft Park on the corner of Gulf Creek Rd & Shindagin Hollow Rd. Follow Shindagin Hollow Rd north.
0.9 1393 ft Turn left on old jeep trail
1.1 1460 ft Finger Lakes/North Country Trail crossing. Turn left on FLT/NCT and follow white blazes.
2.0 1194 ft Reach Shindagin Hollow Rd and turn left
2.2 1213 ft Reach corner of Gulf Creek & Shindagin Hollow Rd and your parked car.
