Hiking in Tompkins County Waterfalls in Central & Western NY Ithaca Falls

This spectacular 100 foot waterfall is an easy walk along a rocky path to a viewing area that sometimes gets overlooked with many other falls and gorges in the Ithaca area. It's a walk of under 1000 feet to reach these falls, the toughest part is finding a place to park your vehicle. The area is known as the Ithaca Falls Natural Area.
Directions: From Cortland take NY 13 south to Ithaca. Turn off the NY 34 exit and turn right onto East Shore Drive which will become Lake Street. There is unmarked parking areas on the left just after the crossing the bridge over Fall Creek. There is also a parking area on the corner of Falls Street and Lake Street. The GPS coordinates for the Nature Area parking lot is N42 27.166 W76 29.670 for those who have a GPS devise.
