Hiking in Ontario County Ontario County Park at Gannett Hill

Ontario County Park, located on Gannett Hill, has over 400 acres of open space and woods. This park has some of the best views in Ontario County and the Finger Lakes Region. There are over 12 miles of multi-use trails located in the park as well as a section of the 50+ mile Bristol Hills Trail. The BHT's northern terminus is located in park.
If you walk from the West Loop Parking Area to the "Jump Off", you are on the Bristol Hills Trail. It's a "must do" while at the park, plus its only a 0.1 mile walk to a spectacular view. There is another spectacular view near Watkins Lodge.
The park has picnic facilities complete with grills, two playground areas, two softball fields, a basketball court, acres of open fields for playing frisbee, football or soccer and an ADA accessible fishing pond. The park also has camping opportunities with 20 tent sites, 24 RV sites and two cabins.
It's FREE to enter this county park and camping prices range from $15-$20 per night for campsites (with or without electricity) to $30-40 per night for the cabins. There are also Pavilions and Lodges available to rent for the day from $10-$75 per day. For reservations call (585) 374-6250.

DIRECTIONS: From Naples take NY 21 North to NY 64 North. Turn left on Gannett Hill Road and at the top of the hill turn right to enter Ontario County Park.
