Catfish Fire Tower
This section of the Appalachian Trail follows the ridge of Kittatinny Mountain and features the Catfish Fire Tower. There are no shelters available along the trail during this section. The Mohican Outdoor Center, run by the Appalachian Mountain Club, is located 0.3 miles from the trail crossing along Camp Road. Parking for about eight cars is also available near this trail crossing. The GPS coordinates are N41 01.990 W75 00.215 for those who have a GPS devise for their vehicle.

From Camp Road the trail ascends out of Catfish Pond Gap, bring the trail back on the Kittatinny Ridge. At 2.2 miles the trail reaches the Catfish Fire Tower. The trail now descends quickly toward Millbrook-Blairstown Road, reaching the road at 3.2 miles. There is parking for three cars available near the trail crossing. The GPS coordinates are N41 03.560 W74 57.812 for those who have a GPS devise in their vehicle. Parking for about six cars are possible at the fire road. Soon the trail is again ascending, bringing the trail again onto the ridge. This section ends as the trail reaches Blue Mountain Lakes Road. Parking for nearly 30 cars are available near this trail crossing. The GPS coordinates are N41 05.360 W74 54.786 for those who have a GPS devise for their vehicle.
